Selim Ahmed is a seasoned academic and former public service professional with extensive experience in higher education, public administration, and national media. He holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) and a Master of Social Science in Political Science from the University of Dhaka, along with an additional Master of Social Science in Women’s Studies from the same university. His international academic training includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communications from London Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Wales, United Kingdom. Mr. Ahmed commenced his professional career as a Lecturer in Political Science at Bhola Government College under the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Education Cadre. He subsequently served for five years as an Assistant Controller of News at Bangladesh Betar as a member of the BCS Information Cadre, where he played a key role in national news management and broadcasting. Currently, he is engaged as an Adjunct Faculty member at the Army Institute of Business Administration (Army IBA), Savar, teaching English as well as Bangladesh and International Studies. His academic and professional career reflects a strong commitment to education, public communication, and interdisciplinary scholarship.
