Professor Md. Ashraful Alam is a Professor of Mathematics at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh, where he has been serving since 2010 and attained the rank of Professor in December 2024. He has been serving as an Adjunct Faculty (Professor) at the Army Institute of Business Administration (AIBA), Savar, since July 2025, where he teaches Business Mathematics. His research specialization lies in Fuzzy Mathematics, entropy-based decision-making models, and graph theory, focusing on mathematical modeling of uncertainty and complex systems with applications in sustainability, public policy, manufacturing systems, and socio-economic analysis. Professor Alam has authored and co-authored 35 research articles, published in Scopus- and SCI-indexed international journals, as well as in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has served as Principal Investigator of several funded research projects supported by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, and Jahangirnagar University. His academic and research activities reflect a strong commitment to connecting advanced mathematical theory with real-world business and societal challenges.
