Major Mohammad Alam Tareque, psc, PhD (Retd.) is a faculty member at the Army Institute of Business Administration (AIBA) and a rare Soldier–Scholar–Strategist, bridging military command, corporate transformation, and academic excellence. A Distinguished Instructor at the Bangladesh Military Academy and the School of Infantry and Tactics, and as a UN Peacekeeping officer of the Bangladesh Army (1988–2008), he served in elite command and instructional roles, these experiences shaped his expertise in leadership under pressure, crisis decision-making, and organisational resilience. After retiring voluntarily from military service, he transitioned into senior corporate leadership in Bangladesh’s RMG sector, leading large-scale organisational turnarounds. As a C-suite executive, he drove a documented ten-fold growth in enterprise value, resolved complex industrial disputes, and achieved sustained productivity gains through leadership-centred operational strategy. Dr Tareque holds a PhD in Management from the Bangladesh University of Professionals and has published 30+ peer-reviewed research articles (including Scopus-indexed journals). His teaching integrates discipline, ethics, evidence-based management, and real-world leadership to prepare future leaders for complex and high-pressure environments.
