Major Md Jashim Uddin, SUP (Retd) was born in Pirojpur district in his maternal grandmothershouse and raised in Dhaka. After completion ofgraduation under DhakaUniversity joined in BMAin1993 and passedoutfrom as Gazetted Commissioned officer in 1995. He didmany military courses in home and abroad, specially to be mentioned, Crisis management course inLouisiana, USA in 2002 and Border management course in Gwalior, Indiain2018. Hehas also specialization on FieldEngineering, MechanicalTransport and Counter Improvised ExplosiveDevice. He was an Army Medal of Excellencerecipient in 2017from Bangladesh Government. He servedinUN peace keeping and peace enforcement mission twice, firstly in Ivory-coastand secondlyin Central African Republic as aCommander of a Company andhe received Force Commanderscommendation for his outstandingcontribution in Central AfricanRepublic. He hisMBAfromAIBA Savar, MPCHRS andMPhil(fellow) from BUP.He participated in many national and iconferences. Afterretirement he served in a service organizationasDeputyDirector Support Services and presently, he is in AIBA Savar asDeputyDirector Admin and Finance. He is and a hugely travel loving person having experience oftravelling countries in North America, UK, ME, Africa, and South Asia. He readbooks in his leisure time and also ve much fond of sports, health, hygiene and fitness.
