Afzal Hossain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at AIBA, Savar, Bangladesh. He completed his MSc and MPhil degrees from the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka. Prior to joining AIBA, he served as a Lecturer in the Department of CSE at the World University of Bangladesh and Stamford University Bangladesh. He also worked as an IT Manager at Delta Capital Limited, bringing valuable industry experience into his academic career. He has extensive experience working on government-funded national projects, including the Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) and Enhancing Digital Government and Economy (EGE). He has also collaborated with the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) and Aspire to Innovate (a2i) on initiatives related to skills development, digital transformation, and capacity building. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and Cyber Security. He has published several research articles in both national and international peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the advancement of applied and theoretical research in these areas. His teaching interests cover a wide range of core and advanced courses, including Programming in C, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Computer Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Database Management Systems, Theory of Computing, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Computational Geometry, Formal Systems, Visual Internet Programming, Computer Fundamentals, Management Information Systems, Research Methodology, E-Business Management, Introduction to Basic Science, and Business Mathematics.
